UL helps safeguard people, products, and places. UL certifies, validates, tests, inspects, audits, advises, and trains.

Lightning Safety Alliance
The Lightning Safety Alliance (LSA) is a non-profit organization of lightning protection manufacturers, distributors, installers and others invested in lightning protection. Its mission is to provide a comprehensive and focused evaluation and response to legislative, administrative and regulatory issues that challenge the lightning protection industry. The LSA provides informational resources for its members.

Lightning Protection Institute
The Lightning Protection Institute (LPI) is a not-for-profit, nationwide group that promotes lightning safety, protection, and education. Its goal is to ensure that lightning protection systems offer quality in design, materials, and installation. It promotes the National Safety Standards of NFPA 780 and UL96A and it advances quality control and assurance through third-party inspection.

United Lightning Protection Assoc.
The ULPA is an association of lightning protection manufacturers, engineers, contractors, and technicians committed to lightning protection by the promotion of the nationally recognized safety standards of the Lightning Protection Institute (LPI), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and Underwriters Laboratories (UL).
